WEATHERPROOF DESIGN: Protect your electrical system from the elements and pass current through a panel or bulkhead up to 13/32' (0.40') thick. Includes both a red and black connector, reinforced silicone gaskets for the flange of the connectors and insulator boots for the terminal post to seal out the elements.
HIGH ENERGY TRANSFER: The nickel plated steel 3/8' post and solid copper core are continuously rated for 440 amps @ 12V, or a maximum of 550A @12V for up to 12 minutes, with a 80% duty cycle. The red connector and boot are ideal for positive power cables while the black connector and boot ideal for ground cables.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION: A 1.375' hole is all the connector needs to pass through the panel and a large hex nut secures it on the back side. The 4 holes of the flange allow you to use screws or bolts to further secure the connector and prevent any rotation.

Passing battery cables through a bulkhead panel or firewall can be a pain at best and can be dangerous if not done properly. With heavy duty weatherproof flanged bulkhead connectors from R2X Racing, you can safely route power from one side of a panel to the other while keeping it protected from the elements.
The glass-filled nylon body of each connector has a flange with 4 mounting holes to secure it to the panel with screws or bolts, depending on your application. The included fiberglass reinforced silicone gaskets seal the flange to the panel and keeps water, dirt and debris out. The included rubber insulator boots fit cable sizes from 2 AWG to 2/0 AWG and fits snugly into the groove on the connector. The insulator boots have a IP65 weatherproof rating and meet USCG, ISO and ABYC safety requirements for energized terminals.
The connector itself is easy to install. Simply drill a 1.375' hole for the main body of the connector and 4 small holes to match the mounting flange. The copper core of the connector allows for high energy transfer with little loss. Because of the flanged mounting design and nickel-plated steel shaft, this connector allows for higher torque than conventional bulkhead connectors with brass shafts. Each connector is continuously rated for 440 amps at 12 vdc and can handle a maximum of 550 amps at 12 vdc for up to 12 minutes with a 80% duty cycle.
